Ready to Roll
Greetings! We are Ready to Roll on this project! Call your friends and let's get this project BACKED! The video has been slightly delayed. Thanks for hanging in there. We went through the postcards this weekend and have started taking some great modern photo-shots of the same locations. At the end here, is a shot of Norwood, MA town hall.

Kickstarter.com Project for Then and Now
Summary of Then and Now, Norwood MA
We have collected picture postcards of a town located in Massachusetts known as Norwood. We are putting together a book of those picture post cards and what each location looks like now in the early 21st Century. Backers from Kickstarter will allow us to self publish this book using US Trade Case Wrap with about 100 color pages in hardcover.
Our summary of the project is:
“Near this spot, Capt. Aaron Guild on April 19, 1775 left plow in furrow, oxen standing and departing for Lexington arrived in time to fire upon the retreating British.” (Aaron Guild Memorial Stone outside the Norwood Public Library.) This is a picture postcard history of this American Town from the early postcard days of the mid 1800s to the modern days of photo postcards. Each page contains two pictures: shot of “then” taken from the postcard, and “now” as the location is in the early 21st Century. All of the postcards used in this book are from existing stock…some used postally and some preserved without a postage stamp.
Every person enjoys seeing what a town looked like 100 years or more ago, and what it looks like now. Putting the two views side by side is what this book captures. Visit this American Town with us, through the eyes of the artist and camera then, and now.
